Your first class is closer than you think
New? Start Here.
Starting something new can feel intimidating, especially walking into a Pilates studio for the first time. You might wonder if you'll know what to do, if you're strong enough, or if everyone else already knows the equipment. You don't have to arrive strong, flexible, coordinated, or confident. That's what we're here to help you build.
What to Expect
Classes are small and supportive, so you'll get real attention from your instructor, not lost in a crowd. Every class includes clear instruction and modifications, so whether you've never touched a reformer or you've been doing Pilates for years, you'll be working at the right level for your body.
How to Begin
The best way to start is our 4-Class Starter Pack. It's the lowest-pressure way to try different formats, meet our instructors, get comfortable with the studio and equipment, and find the classes that feel right for you before committing to a membership.
What to Bring
A water bottle, and comfortable clothing you can move in. We have all the mats and equipment you need.
Grip socks are required for reformer classes. Socks are available to borrow or purchase at the studio if you don't have your own. Yes, your kid's trampoline socks are fine!
Common Questions
Do I need experience?
No! Many of our clients are complete beginners.
What if I have an injury or health condition?
Consult with your doctor before beginning any new exercise program. Once cleared, let your instructor know before class so they can offer modifications.
If you're pregnant or postpartum, check out our Prenatal + Postpartum classes.
Which class should I take first?
Classic is a great starting point on either the reformer or mat, since it introduces the foundational Pilates repertoire everything else builds from.
Whether you've never stepped foot in a Pilates studio or you're a longtime devotee looking for a new home, Eastern Shore Core is built to meet you where you are. Reformer and mat classes, a heated room, prenatal and postpartum support, and a community that actually knows your name.
