01

Your first visit

Do I need Pilates experience?

No. Beginners are welcome. Your instructor will explain the movements, help you get set up, and offer options as you learn.

Which class should I try first?

If you’re new to Eastern Shore Core or the reformer, we recommend Reformer Classic to learn the machine, get comfortable with the fundamentals, and build confidence. Classic is the foundation of every format. The other formats offer variations on those same foundations, rather than levels of difficulty. Choose the approach you enjoy, with options for support or challenge in every class.

What is the new client starter pack?

The starter pack is four classes for $75: two small-group Reformer classes and two Mat or Barre classes. It gives new clients a chance to explore the studio before choosing a membership. View the starter pack and offer terms.

What should I bring and wear?

Bring a water bottle and comfortable athletic clothing. We provide mats and equipment, but you’re welcome to bring your own mat. For reformer classes, choose fitted clothing rather than loose or baggy items, tie back long hair, and remove necklaces and bracelets.

Do I need grip socks?

Grip socks are required for apparatus classes, including Reformer Pilates. They are not required for mat-based classes.

What if I forget my grip socks?

We have grip socks available to borrow or purchase at the studio. Let your instructor know before class so you can get a pair before stepping onto the reformer. If you purchase socks, you can pay through Shop in the app or ask your instructor to charge the card you have on file.

Where is the studio?

We’re at 2324 W Zion Rd, Unit 101, Salisbury, MD 21801. Open in Google Maps. Greenhouse classes take place separately at Tidal Roots Garden Center in Hebron.

Where can I find a guide to getting started?

Our Start Here page walks you through choosing your pack, booking your first class, and preparing for your visit.

02

Choosing your classes

What is the difference between Reformer and Mat classes?

Reformer classes use a moving carriage and adjustable spring resistance. Mat classes use body weight and props, with options including Pilates, barre, strength, sculpt, and yoga flow. Explore Reformer Pilates or Mat, Barre + Infrared.

Are some formats harder than others?

No. Classic is the foundation of every format, and the other formats are variations on those same Pilates principles. They are not ranked from beginner to advanced. Each offers a different approach, with options for support or challenge, so you can choose based on your preferences rather than a difficulty level.

Are all mat classes heated?

No. We offer heated and non-heated options. Check the class description before booking to choose the experience you prefer.

Do you offer prenatal and postpartum support?

Yes. Our Prenatal + Postpartum program includes a community and monthly workshops focused on adapting your studio practice. Explore the program or contact us before booking if you need help choosing where to begin.

Is there a minimum age?

Clients must be 16 or older unless Eastern Shore Core has approved otherwise in writing.

03

Booking and cancellations

When can I book, and why can’t I book this class yet?

A class may be visible on the schedule before you can reserve it. Your booking window depends on your membership or purchase type. Find your option below to see how far ahead you can book.

How far in advance you can book
Your option Booking opens
Drop-in 8 days before class
4-class monthly membership 10 days before class
8-class monthly membership 14 days before class
12-class monthly membership 18 days before class
Unlimited membership 21 days before class

For example: if you have an 8-class monthly membership and a class is 16 days away, you’ll need to wait until it is within your 14-day booking window.

These windows give members earlier access based on their plan. If you’re within your window and still can’t book, or you’re using a class pack or starter pack, contact Nicole so we can check your account. If the class is full, join the waitlist.

How do I book a class?

Book through the online schedule or the Eastern Shore Core app. A class credit is required to reserve a spot.

What happens if a class is full?

Join the waitlist. When an opening becomes available, you’ll receive a text and email with a link to complete your booking. You may need to sign in through your mobile browser, even if you normally use the app. If you can’t claim the opening, another client may already have booked it.

How far in advance should I cancel?

Please cancel as early as possible. The late-cancellation window is within 12 hours of a class or 2 hours of a private session. Review your booking details and Studio Policies before reserving.

What happens if I cancel late?

Late cancellations forfeit the class credit and incur a $15 fee. Members receive one automatic late-cancellation fee exemption every 30 days. Additional late cancellations cost $15 each. Non-members, including drop-in and non-member class package clients, pay $15 for every late cancellation. The member exemption applies to the fee, not the class credit.

What happens if I don’t show up?

Missing a reserved class without canceling forfeits the class credit and incurs a $15 no-show fee for all clients, including members. No exemptions apply. The member late-cancellation exemption cannot be used for a no-show.

Why is there a late-cancellation or no-show fee?

Our classes are small, and many have waitlists. When a reservation is canceled at the last minute or someone doesn’t attend, that spot can go unused even though another client wanted it. The fee helps keep booking fair, supports our instructors, and helps us continue offering small-group classes.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes. Memberships include one guest pass each month. You can also use drop-in or class pack credits to book a guest. Enter your guest’s correct name, email address, and phone number when booking.

If your guest late cancels or no-shows without a payment method on file, the account that booked the reservation is responsible for applicable fees.

Who manages my guest’s reservation?

Your guest manages their own reservation through the app or website using the email address entered when you booked. Make sure that address is correct so they can access their booking and receive updates. If they do not have a payment method on file, applicable fees are charged to the account that made the reservation.

What if I arrive late?

Please arrive on time. Late entry may be limited at your instructor’s discretion to support safety and the class experience.

What if the studio cancels my class?

Classes need at least two reservations to run. If the minimum isn’t met, registered clients will be notified in advance and their class credit will be returned automatically. Weather-related schedule updates are shared by email and/or text and reflected in the online schedule.

04

Memberships and credits

Does my reformer membership include mat classes?

Yes. Every reformer membership includes unlimited mat classes. These are included in addition to your reformer classes.

Our booking system treats your reformer plan and included mat access as two separate memberships. After purchasing your reformer membership, follow the instructions in your welcome email to add your unlimited mat membership.

Why isn’t my included mat access showing in my account?

Your unlimited mat membership needs to be added separately using the instructions in your reformer membership welcome email. Check that email and complete the steps to activate your included mat access.

If you can’t find the email or need help, contact Nicole.

Do memberships renew automatically?

Yes. Memberships renew every 30 rolling days. Once a monthly membership payment has processed, refunds are not issued.

How do I cancel my membership?

Email nicole@easternshorecore.com before your next renewal payment processes. Memberships renew every 30 rolling days. Once a monthly membership payment has processed, refunds are not issued.

Can I pause my membership?

Do unused membership credits roll over?

No. Membership credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle. If extenuating circumstances prevent you from using your credits, contact Nicole to discuss your situation.

Can I transfer a membership or class pack?

Memberships, class packs, credits, and special offers are non-transferable unless otherwise stated in writing.
