When I opened Eastern Shore Core, I wanted it to be more than a studio; I wanted it to be a third space. A place outside of home and work where you can exhale, move, and simply be yourself.
We’ve designed the studio with care: it’s a space where curated beauty meets authenticity, but without pressure or pretense. No matching sets required (though always welcome if that’s your vibe!). What matters most is showing up as you are and leaving feeling refreshed, grounded, and just a little lighter than when you arrived.
Here, all people are welcome. Whether you’re on a reformer, flowing through Hot Mat Pilates, joining a non-heated class, or moving alongside your little one in a Mama + Me session, you’ll find support, connection, and community.

Not sure if you’re using your core? Here are 5 easy cues to help you connect without overthinking it: 1. Exhale + draw in Pull your belly button gently toward your spine as you exhale. Feel your abs firm—not by sucking in, but by gently wrapping inward. 2. Think corset Hug your waist from all sides, not just the front. Support should come from your entire midsection. 3. Find neutral Hips level, tailbone reaching back—not tucked or arched. This gives your spine room to move. 4. Lift from below Gently lift the area between your sitting bones, like zipping up from the base. Subtle, not a squeeze. 5. Exhale to engage Let your breath lead the movement. Inhale to prepare, exhale to power up. It’s not about holding or bracing—just smart, steady support from the inside out. Try one or two next time you move!Button

New plant vibes in the studio! 🪴 🌱 I treated myself and the studio to a beautiful plant stand from @tidal.roots on their opening day! I’m enjoying this space this morning and can’t wait to share it with you again after a peaceful Easter weekend. Next Saturday begins my final big training weekend: I’ll be wrapping up my mat Pilates certification at Right Balance and completing the PaddleFit Core training for stand-up paddleboard instruction. Can you tell I was ready to teach Sun Salutation B at yoga this afternoon? ☀️ My early girlie was in the studio before sunrise, so I took about 20 minutes to soak it in and watch the sun rise through the studio windows. A little morning movement on the reformer makes the day better from the start! ✨Button

Side body work on the reformer is all about control, alignment, and the stabilizing muscles that keep us balanced. I’m holding onto the dowel between the straps, with one hand behind my head, laterally bending to drop my elbow into the spring well. When I work with new clients, we always talk about spring choice—because heavier doesn’t always mean harder. Here, I’m using a light spring, which means I have to work even harder to restack my shoulders over my hips after each bend. Less assistance from the springs = more core engagement!Button

Back from vacation and back on the reformer with my people! This morning, I saw a number on the scale I haven’t seen since pre-Beau days—four years later, here we are! I’ve always been more of a non-scale victories person than a gravity-measuring person, but these days, I’ll celebrate anything! Early riser! 🌄 At 5:30 this morning, my private client was already working on hip and ankle mobility, shoulder and chest strength, and exploring back extension. We tweaked spring tensions for quadruped on rails and long stretch/jackrabbit to feel the work in both upper body and core, added a bit of fun on the jump board, and wrapped up with legs in straps and short spine massage.
