Pilates in a Flower Field? Yes, We Did That.

We've taught classes in a lot of beautiful spaces — but nothing quite like this.

This summer, Eastern Shore Core hosted our very first Pilates and Petals event at Little Lane Flower Company on Log Cabin Road in Salisbury, and it was everything we hoped it would be (and then some).

A Morning in the Fields

Imagine rolling out your mat surrounded by rows of sunflowers and wildflowers, the summer sun already warm on your shoulders, and the sound of your instructor's voice coming through wireless headsets while music plays directly in your ears.

That's exactly what we did.

We used Sound Off headsets for the class, a wireless audio system that lets participants hear both the instructor and the music, no matter where they're positioned in the field. It's the kind of tech that makes an outdoor class feel as seamless as being in the studio, and it makes the whole experience feel a little more magical.

We moved through a warm, sunshine-soaked practice together. We worked hard, laughed, and soaked in the scenery. There's something about moving your body outside, in a real place, surrounded by beauty, that makes the work feel different: lighter, brighter, and more colorful.

Pick Your Own Bouquet

After class, participants got to wander the fields and cut their own bouquet to take home. Watching everyone move through the rows, snipping sunflowers, tucking in wildflowers, holding their finished arrangements up to the light, was genuinely one of our favorite moments as a studio. It was the perfect cool-down.

Eastern Shore Core Celebrates Official Chamber of Commerce Membership

A community celebration of movement, wellness, recreation, and locally owned Eastern Shore businesses

On May 15th, Eastern Shore Core, Sandbar Yoga, and FishPit Charters celebrated an official ribbon cutting with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, marking an exciting new chapter for three locally owned businesses created and operated by husband-and-wife team Nicole and Todd Bellamy.

The event brought together community members, friends, family, and fellow Chamber members to celebrate wellness, movement, recreation, and connection on the Eastern Shore. Guests enjoyed light fare and beverages from The Modern Graze, along with door prizes that reflected the Bellamys’ shared commitment to healthy living, local experiences, and meaningful time spent together.

For Nicole and Todd, the ribbon cutting was more than a business milestone. It was a celebration of family, community, and the opportunity to offer experiences that help people feel stronger, more connected, and more at home on the Eastern Shore.

Eastern Shore Core opened under Nicole Bellamy’s ownership in 2025, after Meta Yoga relocated to Ocean City. Nicole renamed the studio Eastern Shore Core and has continued building on the foundation of the previous space while expanding its offerings and creating a welcoming home for movement in the community.

The boutique studio is open seven days a week and offers classes for early risers, evening clients, and everyone in between. Classes include Reformer Pilates, Hot Mat Pilates, Barre, and more, with a focus on strength, alignment, consistency, and sustainable movement.

“I took over this studio when Meta Yoga moved to Ocean City,” Nicole shared. “We have a four-year-old son, and I wanted to spend more time with him, be closer to home, and build something meaningful in our own community. I’m just really grateful to be here.”

In addition to Eastern Shore Core, Nicole and Todd operate Sandbar Yoga, a mobile wellness studio offering beach yoga, stand-up paddleboard Pilates, floating sound baths, and boat-based wellness experiences along the waterways from Ocean City, Maryland to Cape Charles, Virginia. Sandbar Yoga is designed for people who love the natural beauty of the Eastern Shore and want a wellness experience that feels both grounding and memorable.

Todd Bellamy also owns and operates FishPit Charters, offering private fishing, crabbing, paddleboarding, and sandbar experiences on the water. As a Coast Guard licensed and insured captain, Todd provides everything guests need for a safe and enjoyable trip, including safety gear, fishing equipment, guidance, and even fish cleaning. Whether guests are experienced anglers or brand new to being on the water, FishPit Charters creates opportunities for families and friends to make lasting memories.

Together, Eastern Shore Core, Sandbar Yoga, and FishPit Charters reflect the Bellamys’ love for the Eastern Shore and their passion for helping people move, breathe, explore, and connect.

We are grateful to the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce for celebrating this milestone with us and for welcoming Eastern Shore Core, Sandbar Yoga, and FishPit Charters as new Chamber members.
